Emerging from the Wawona Tunnel to this view is something out of a dream.
When I was hiking in Yosemite, I felt as if there was magic dust in the air. There is something special about the lighting in the valley, it has an iridescent, golden quality. As I was painting this view, I kept warm, soft hues to capture the spectacular rays of Yosemite Valley.
